We received a very special message for all the Geopark Comarca Minera Guardians From the 11th UNESCO Global Geoparks Conference, held in Temuco, La Araucanía Region, Chile, from September 8 to 12, 2025. Professor Nickolas Zouros, General Secretary of the Global Geoparks Network, sent warm greetings to the Geopark Guardians, highlighting the importance of their active role in the responsible management of our territory. The Guardians are the driving force behind the care, preservation, and appreciation of our geological, natural, and cultural heritage.

We are working on a collaboration agreement with ICATHI to instruct the managers of the Huasca de Ocampo geosites, train local Geoguides, and promote the programs Zero Waste, Water Conservation, and Risk Prevention.
