Historical heritage is an essential part of a territory’s identity. In this lecture of the
Permanent Virtual Geopark Guardians Seminar, we will reflect on the importance of the historic monuments located in the Comarca Minera, their cultural value, the principles that should guide their conservation, and the legal framework that safeguards their integrity. The session will be delivered by Arch. Sergio Antonio Camarena Villaseñor, certified expert in the Conservation of Historic Monuments, who will share his experience in the protection of these heritage assets and the challenges they face over time and due to human intervention. A key lecture to strengthen a culture of respect and heritage conservation within the Geopark.
